This past weekend during Grand Prix Los Angeles a 93-94 tournament was hosted by Channel-Fireball, using their own custom rules (Alpha through Fallen Empires, restricted Strip Mine, most other rules nearly the same as EC’s B&R List). 16 players showed up to battle 4 rounds of straight Swiss, including players from Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and California primarily.
The field appeared to be a good mix of decks, including a few variants of The Deck, Shahrazad, UR, Mono Black, Black White, Naya Zoo, White Weenie, Millstone Control, Underworld Dreams combo, etc. There was a good amount of excitement around the event, with dozens of onlookers throughout the event.

Prizes given out were Channel-Fireball credit, as well as an Amnesia that was signed and altered by artist Mark Poole, and then signed by all of the players. We don’t have final standings, but Mike Kravitz (playing UR) was the only player to go 4-0 on the day, and won the Amnesia for first place.
