We will be running a small off-site Middle School event at GenCon 2019, on short notice. Returning to our roots, this will be an underground event in a hotel lobby or adjacent ball room most likely, and will be bring your own beverage (BYOB).
Tournament Entry and Prizes
The GenCon Middle School Underground tournament will be held on Friday August 2 2019 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
– Tournament start time is 7:00pm sharp (please arrive by 6:45pm to check in, get set up, and do card signing).
– Tournament structure and length will be SWISS or SWISS+1 (5 rounds most likely). There will be no draws allowed, and at the end of 50 minutes if there is a tied match both players will go to 5 extra turns, and then you will proceed with a Game of Chaos to determine a winner (details on site). We came to game, not draw. Play a fun deck, imbibe, and have a blast with friends new and old!
– Prizes will be awarded by Eternal Central, and will be Middle School cards. Please bring a black bordered staple/playable card to contribute if you’d like (or alternatively, you may want to have everyone sign one card from your deck that day as your personal trophy). At this event and going forward there will also be a special prize awarded for Most Creative Deck.
– Entrance Fee will simply be your beverages of choice for you and to share with friends, whether that is a six-pack or two, a 30-rack of Hamm’s, a bottle of liquor, or non-alcoholic beverages for the teetotalers. This is a casual BYOB event running fast and loose, but please do not wander off and cause trouble at the hotel site. Always treat the venue and those around you with respect, or you will be asked to leave, and unwelcome at future events.

This page always has a complete list of deck construction rules, sets allowed, errata, and the most up to date Banned and Restricted List. This is a non-proxy event, and per the rules above you are allowed to play any legal reprint defined in the rules linked above.
