Everyday Eternal Podcast Episode 28: Dega Rules, Mardu Drools!

In episode 28 of #EverydayEternal Matt Pavlic (sdematt) and Sean O’Brien (nedleeds) talk Khans of Tarkir spoilers, and Sean’s Vintage experiences at GenCon 2014. They’re later joined by Julian Knab (@itsJulian23) to talk about Matt’s recent port of Sean’s Dega Vintage deck in to Legacy. But Julian isn’t convinced. Between Miracles and Elves, is there room for such a deck in the format?

    These podcasts…..are….amazing……

Is there some chance that if Mind Twist got unbanned, Elves would just play it? the deck regularly makes 4+ mana on turn 2, it’s not hard to imagine a turn 2 twist for 3 to make sure you can go off next turn…

  • Sean OBrien

Isn’t it usually easier to just thoughtseize? Which is also a turn one play. There’s aren’t typically going to be 3-4 things in an opponents hand which can stop you. Also the worst thing an elf deck can be staring down is an active top and a Terminus on top. Which Mind Twist doesn’t do dick about. At this point with the amount of mana elves can pump out it could play the BBX mind twist if it were really any good.
