Instant Analysis – SCG Denver & Minneapolis $5K Legacy

The past two weekends have brought some of the biggest crowds for Legacy in the USA this summer, with 170 players in the SCG Minneapolis $5K Legacy this past weekend, and 125 players in the SCG Denver $5K Legacy tournament the weekend prior. As the post-Mystical Tutor world of Legacy develops we have seen Reanimator and Ad Nauseam combo neutered, but not completely dead, and plenty of other decks have sprung up to take their places in recent tournaments.

[Video]: LCL August – RAPTOR VS QUINTERO Top8 G3

After some days of publishing Vintage videos, it’s finally come the time to release some of the Legacy videos that were recorded during the last Catalan Legacy League (LCL) in Ripollet (near Barcelona). The following video shows the match between  2 of the most famous archenemies in the LCL: Manuel Gómez (Raptor) and Alberto Quintero. Tension, respect and a lot of action. Watch it and enjoy it right after the break.

Second Place With Belcher at GenCon Indy 2010 Legacy Champs

Matt Hazard of Team Serious recently finished second at the Legacy Champs event at GenCon. In the final game of the tournament he activated Goblin Charbelcher targeting his opponent to win the 2010 Legacy Championship, only to have his [CENSORED] Taiga revealed 5 cards down! Check out his decklist(s), thoughts, and full tournament report of how he got there after the jump!

Second with UBG Landstill in Legacy (Cambrils 8/08/2010)

Few days ago we heard from this Legacy tournament being held in Cambrils (about 100km from Barcelona) and organized by a couple of “oldies” that nowadays own a bar called “Rock Star“. The winner of the tournament would win 2 FBB Scrublands, the finalist 2 Revised Dual Lands and the semifinalists some Fetchlands. In the end, the turn out wasn’t that impressive (20+) and they decided to keep the prizes for the 1st and 2nd and remove the top4 fetchlands. Fair enough! (The entrance fee was 14€ and that included a HUGE sandwich and a drink).

The following report explains my tournament performance playing UBG Landstill and How I met GOD playing from the inside of Toni Calero’s body.
